More than half of small business owners in the UK aim to reinvest profits, if they meet their annual targets.
The survey, conducted by Abbey Business Banking, outlined that 48% of employers would use their profits to take an early retirement, with 18% commenting that they would give up work immediately, with the balance of 30% stating that they plan to invest in a retirement fund.
Managing Director of Abbey Business Banking said: "Britain’s bosses are an entrepreneurial lot with nearly three-in-five of them planning to put this year’s profits to good use by investing in the future of their business."
The poll highlights that the business leaders most likely to invest in their company’s future belong to the agriculture and mining sectors. This is in direct contrast with business owners in transport and communication industries, who appear least willing to exercise this option.
