European Commission Vice President, Günter Verheugen, has launched a new European support network for enterprises.
The Enterprise Europe Network is now the largest support network in Europe, combining the experience and expertise of over 4,000 staff across more than 500 contact points.
This is a one-stop service created to assist small businesses to develop their full potential and innovative capacity.
Mr Verheugen comments: "The new Enterprise Europe Network is a milestone in the Commission's integrated policy for promoting entrepreneurship and growth of enterprises in Europe. I call on all entrepreneurs in the EU and beyond to use it to the best of their needs".
"The crucial role of [small firms] and entrepreneurs for Europe's competitiveness has now been well recognised. We aim at fully unlocking this immense potential."
