Don’t miss out on Rippleffect, a six-month initiative run by the government-funded Envirowise.
The scheme will provide independent and practical advice to businesses on minimising waste water and becoming more environmentally friendly.
"This could really help those small firms that are looking for ways to cut costs. Given the fact that the economic downturn looks set to worsen before it gets better, the FPB is advising its members to apply now before it is too late," said Nick Palin, the FPB's Director of Finance and Administration. "This is a free initiative and also helps firms to do their bit to protect the environment."
According to Envirowise, businesses that previously have not used water efficiently could make savings of around 30% by signing up for the scheme. This saving can increase to approximately 50% following long-term investment in water-saving projects.
